Whit's Latest Photography Show

This week we hung Whitney's show that she received a grant to work on. It is entitled D-E-A-F, Images of a Visual Culture. She worked soooooo hard on it and I'm so proud of what she accomplished. She became interested in deaf culture when she took 3 years of sign language at school. She was able to mix her two talents very well. You should have seen her at the opening signing with all the deaf people there. It was quite the turn out! Hope you enjoy these

This is our friend Nigel. He pretty much rocks.

These are our friends the Rays. They rock!

These are our friends the Gibsons. They also rock! They're moving to Florida after the semester- Good luck!

Diane Bowns scoping out the work...or is she checking out that guy next to her?

Random scene from the show

It is tradition that Whitney always gets a new dress for an art show. This is right before the show- isn't she gorgeous?

Sorry everyone that our camera takes such blurry pictures.

I think the videos are pretty cool, though.

I'm sad I couldn't go. I used to always check out all the galleries at the HFAC. Now I'm related to someone that had a showing. I'm one degree away from a celebrity.

Joe I think you found a "keeper" even if she is a little plump around the middle! :)
I love the pictures she posts on her site. (Does that make me wierd?)
You two may want to get a little extra sleep the next couple of weeks to get ready for B-Day.
