Whitney and Joe--Houstonians at Heart

Welcome to Houston! We have been working hard and playing hard here in Houston TX. Below I've taken you on a tour or our home at Bayou Park.
Kitchen
Dining Room.
Living Room.
Bedroom.
Bathroom. That wraps up our tour. I've included a few pictures from our weekend adventures. We are kind of like summer-long tourists. Our first destination was San Antonio.

Isn't she gorgeous?

Daniel Boon, Davy Crockett, and Jim Bowie--Giants among men
San Antonio has something called the river walk. Its pretty fun to walk along the shops and they have great Tex-Mex.

Whitney doesn't understand why I love the Alamo so much. I think it must be a man thing. I mean, what red-blooded American male ain't dreamed of shoot'n a 4 foot musket and fight'n off Santa Anna with you buds? Wake up America!

The Houston Zoo was a good time. We found out that you need 5 years experience working with elephants to be an elephant keeper. Whitney's only got two...

Whitney knows that I'll never have facial hair like that so she took full advantage at the zoo.

I got tired, so I took a seat by the smart goat.

We headed down to Galveston for a little fun at the beach. Their sandcastles are bigger than their sharks.
I think it's rule that if you fish for sharks, you have to smoke cigars.
The Sand-burglar

Sand-Formers
You can't see it, but we're standing in front of a giant Swine with Swine-Flue written on it.
Boo-Yah, you gotta love Kermit.

1) is the furniture in your living room the same color as your carpet? Kind of hard to see it.
2) is the reason why you say that you'll never have facial hair like the goat b/c you have no facial hair?

Just kidding. Looks like tons of fun! Hope you guys make great memories and bring me back something from the Alamo.

Answers:

1. we have no furniture.
Someone in the ward finally loaned us a couch, they have a special place in our hearts.

2. joe has no facial hair - it's true.

Dave, I'll bring you a cow pie if you'd like.

It appeared to me that all the furniture a young couple needed was in the house! You kids behave yourselves!

Whitney they won't let you take that cow pie on a plane unless it is in a zip-lock bag, and not more that 4 ounces at that!

I loved the virtual tour of the apartment. Reminded me of our first apartment in Sapulpa. Great to see all of those fun places in Texas. Better get out of there before fb season and becareful wearing your OU t-shirt down there. You might get mugged.
